Gunshots rang out at approximately 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 27, near the intersection of Warburton Avenue and Glenwood Avenue, Yonkers Police Sgt. David Fraszka said. Officers were dispatched to the area and determined that at least four shots were fired during the incident.
According to police, later in the night, two men were brought to an area hospital “with wounds consistent of possibly being caused by a gunshot.”
Fraszka said one man was shot in his wrist/forearm, while the other suffered a wound to his left hip. None of the gunshot wounds were life-threatening and both are currently in stable condition.
Both of the men involved in the incident are Yonkers residents in their late 20s. Fraszka noted that they’re currently “being uncooperative” with investigators and the investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
